Taormina is an infamous Sicilian resort town located in the jagged hills above the Ionian Sea facing Mount Edna and the ancient teatro grco (Greek Theater). Unbeknown to many American visitors arriving to the historic town, it's also one of the island's top beach destinations with an infamous pebble beach and Isola Bella that's a private island reserve just offshore from the main resort.
After a major 3-year renovation, Italy's Ragosta Hotels brings fashionable travelers out of the main village and onto the Taormina Mare where they should be from the months of April through October. Ensconced in intricate stone details from the outside, a small interior lobby is drawn in exotic wood floors with oversize club chairs facing an all-white terrace with views of the Mediterranean. Fusion Restaurant, in in-house restaurant, specializes in a fusion cuisine in an Eastern-inspired space with copula ceiling and ocean views. A simple counter lobby is accented in an accordion-style wood paneling with illuminated front and debonair Italian staff.
The hotel is built around a beach club concept, where locals like Dolce & Gabbana can valet there car and hit the private beach club with its beach butlers with sea misters in hand servicing the 200 sun beds with menu from on-site beach restaurant Ionian Pearl.

A total of 61 rooms are layered horizontally along the adjacent shoreline without interrupting the area with an intrusive high-rise structure. Room categories include a0 designer villas with direct beach access and private gardens, standard superior, deluxe and 5 suite-level guest rooms. Constructed amongst an existing pine forest, rooms are set in a natural setting that is the perfect juxtaposition for uber-modern spaces iwth abstract canopied beds with Frette linens, natural stone floors and asymmetrical bathrooms with soaking tubs and rain showers. Some rooms and villas offer pitched ceilings in a myriad of abstract Italian design with the larger offering outdoor patios with private jacuzzi.
